German Foxtail Millet

This annual warm season grass which grows from 2 to 4 feet under cultivation can be grown in almost any area that has warm weather during the growing season and sufficient rain for any other crop. Used as a pasture or hay crop German Foxtail has excellent drought tolerance.

Foxtail Millet has limited re-growth capacity that limits them to one cutting or grazing. It is an open pollinated variety that makes quick forage or cover crop. It can also be used for wildlife as birds use the small seed.
